The month of March is all about Inspiration.
Sometimes when we are feeling overwhelmed, having difficulty creating or just feel a sense of lack, we need a little motivation to get unstuck.
I remember a time not long ago when I had a dream to build a new business. There were so many moving pieces that had to be learned to get the business off the ground and I was overwhelmed. Add a baby on top of the mix and most days I walked away not only overwhelmed but feeling defeated and wondering what I was even doing!
So… I am going to share with you a little process that I used to get through these moments and back to the feeling of inspiration.
Journaling is nothing new but how often do we think …
~ I don’t have time for this
~Its too easy … why would that work
~ I need to be writing content or emails … not writing for fun!
These limiting beliefs are exactly why we stay overwhelmed, spinning and actually accomplishing, sometimes… just an email.
So the next time you start to feel overwhelmed, I invite you to
~ Sit down
~ Set a timmer for 3min and just write.
~ Journaling brings you into that state of mindfulness. Frustrations and anxieties lose their intensity when you are present to the moment. There is a strong connection between happiness and mindfulness.
~ Journaling is an outlet for processing emotions and increases your self-awareness. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to perceive and manage your emotions, and that of others.
~ Studies have shown that the emotional release from journaling lowers anxiety, stress, and induces better sleep.
I have also created for the month of March, Be Inspired writing prompts that will help you get in the habit of writing for yourself on a daily basis.
