Why "Not Anonymous?" To be the light and hope for those out there struggling in the darkness.
One day at a time ...God will meet on this path as we become willing to take each step towards a new life.

We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. Those who work the program will gain a sense of acceptance that allows them to process their experiences, learn from them, and move on without guilt.

"Let Love Break the Silence"

Addiction and mental health issues do not discriminate. It does not matter who you are, where you come from or how much money you have, we are all affected in some way. I just finished reading an article that stated a city has had 72,000 drug-related overdose deaths last year due to prescription drugs. #opiodcrisis

It has taken me 14 years of sobriety to believe that I am worthy enough to be heard and that I do not have to hide in fear. I no longer need to tuck my past away in a neat little box and act like it did not happen, Overcompensating with accomplishments hoping it might disappear. ✖️This does not help anyone by the way including yourself ✖️ That even if (whoever) does not approve or is embarrassed by your actions and words to tell the truth, “Let it Go” 🙄It doesn't mean I have it all figured out and it’s quite possible my thoughts and feelings will try to take me down again ... possibly after I press publish but I do not have to believe them and it does get easier. ⭐Condemning a person or their circumstances with shame, disgrace and humiliation has got to stop ⭐

My hope for anyone out there struggling is that they do not hide or let shame overrun. That silence and isolation is what kills and keeps us sick.

Compassion and Love is what is needed most by those who are suffering. 🌸🌸🌸 12 Steps Kept Simple

4. Look Within
5. Admit Wrongs
6. Ready Self for Change
7. Seek Gods Help
8. Become Willing
9. Make Amends

Sobriety comes in waves. You have to choose to be

Sobriety comes in waves. You have to choose to be diligent in your recovery and not become complacent. I was 13 years sober when my youngest son was 2 and I almost gave in at a wedding.
Relapse early on taught me that it only gets worse. Every drink I took only intensified the hangover. So throwing away 13 years would have been devastating. I am grateful I had God (Step2) helping me to persevere because my surroundings were not safe or supportive. And guess what this is going to happen. So strengthen your relationship with your higher power and in those moments when you are weak I promise, you will be held.

One amazing part about having the kids home is I feel like they are learning lots of real life skills. Learning to read a recipe, make a shopping list, and learning measures.
